In Their Time Of Need

I was visiting a site today http://findarticles.com/ and I was happy, yet sad, by the information I found on there. Evidently, assisted living homes-in some areas-now boast kitchenette's, three fixture bathrooms with shower, dedicated computer lines, cafes, libraries, pharmacies, club rooms and banks just to name a few of the new and great things that are or will become available for our elderly loved ones down the road-depending on where they live.

My head scratching and sadness comes from the fact that the assisted living situation is not the same in all areas, therefore the need for lawyers, if the family feel their elderly loved ones were abused or neglected, is on the rise. http://nursinghomelawhelp.com/  Why I ask myself, can the assisted living situation not be the same for our elderly, no matter where they live?  Why are our elderly loved ones experiences in assisted living homes so different depending on where they are at?

My own mom had to practically beg for help-when she was in a re-hab last year.  She was a prideful person and always a go-getter until life led her down a different path-to sickness and helplessness-but to see her apologizing to the people- in the re-hab- when she needed their help-this made one angry and humbled by the whole experience.

There is something wrong when our elderly-keepers of our hearts and past-are not treated the same everywhere and do not have the same things available for them in each re-hab facility.  Something needs to be done to change things when our elderly either get -the housing project of assisted living homes-or they get an assisted living home- equal to what Donald Trump would live in.

By using their medicare-or medicaid each elderly loved one more than pays for a nice room with ammenties in a year or two's time. So, they more than deserve a kitchen, a nice bathroom and shower and even a clubroom and bank and pharmacy if that's what they wanted too.

Our elders were there for us in our time of need, we need to be there for them in their time of need.  Each elderly member of society paved the way to make things better for the youth of today.  And today's youth will be the elderly that pave the way for the youth of the future.  All our elderly need is just a little help," in their time of need".
